Chidley, George St and Lawson Residence Halls

Metcon Buildings & Infrastructure contracted A1 Glass & Aluminum to install a curtain wall and storefront on the exterior of the George Street Residence Hall located on the campus of North Carolina Central University. George Street was a new on-campus mixed-use complex featuring student housing and retail amenities. 

The team went above and beyond with the project by coordinating with the general contractor to lay out the opening for the framers to frame it out properly and correct issues with the original hardware. At the beginning of the project, the team discovered that the original hardware was an issue, which caused a delay of the project until it was correct. In addition to the George Street Residence, A1 Glass & Aluminum also worked on the Chidley South and Lawson Residence Halls on campus. 

The project was completed in September 2020.
