Homewood Suites' first property in Uptown Charlotte is a mixed‑use development: a 13‑story building with 209 guest suites, 3,500 square feet of flexible meeting space and 4,000 square feet of first‑floor retail. A‑1 Glass & Aluminum delivered the full exterior glazing package — EFCO 5600 curtainwall with EFCO 406 and 401 storefront systems in a clear anodized finish, glazed with 1" IGUs carrying a Solarban 70XL low‑E coating from Press Glass.
Above the podium, more than 200 Crystal 2100 series window units were powder‑coated to match a simulated anodized silver and glazed with the same Solarban 70XL glass. At street level the scope included exterior heavy glass doors with full‑height pulls, an automatic bi‑parting sliding entrance in clear anodized, and Solar Innovations G2 series folding glass doors that open the ground floor to the patio.
