A-1 Glass & Aluminum worked with James R. Vannoy Construction Company and McFarland Construction, in partnership with the architect design team of Gensler and Neighboring Concepts, on the newest community service building in Mecklenburg County, the Ella B. Scarborough Community Resource Center. Located in northeast Charlotte, the building features an array of glazing systems, including Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope Reliance TC-II Curtainwall (20,000-square-feet and 1,000-square-feet, respectively), OBE FG3000 (1,500-square-feet) and AWV LE-31 Louvers (six-inches deep).

Additional project details:

PRESS GLASS HOLDING SA, was installed throughout the building, with a variety of specifications:

  • SNX 62/27 on ultraclear
  • SNX 51/23 on crystal gray
  • SNX 62/27 with warm gray (spandrel)
  • 9/16″ tempered laminated
  • ¼” clear tempered and ¼” mirror
  • Pecora Corporation 890 & 895 caulking was installed to ensure durability and longevity
