Three residence halls, one campus — and a crew that solved the framing before it became the schedule.

Metcon Buildings & Infrastructure contracted A‑1 Glass & Aluminum to install curtain wall and storefront on the exterior of the George Street Residence Hall at North Carolina Central University. George Street is a new on‑campus mixed‑use complex featuring student housing and retail amenities.

The team went above and beyond by coordinating with the general contractor to lay out the openings so the framers could frame them correctly, and by catching an issue with the original hardware early enough to correct it. In addition to George Street, A‑1 also worked on the Chidley South and Lawson residence halls on campus. The project was completed in September 2020.
